Welcome to our FAQ page, your one-stop source for understanding how Collab is changing property management. Get the answers you need, make the moves you want.
A Community Pro is a resident or trusted community member who helps with simple property tasks—like showing apartments, delivering notices, or assisting with light maintenance. In return, CPs earn money or rent credits through the Collab APP.
You must be at least 18 years old and either live in a Collab-managed property or be approved by the operations team. No prior experience is required—just reliability, a willingness to help, and access to a smartphone.
Tasks vary depending on your building’s needs. Common examples include:
- Showing apartments to prospective tenants
- Delivering packages or notices
- Taking photos for listings
- Light cleaning or organizing shared spaces
- Meeting vendors for maintenance access
All tasks are optional and clearly described in the app before you accept.
No special skills are required to start. Some tasks may offer tips or guidance in the app, and we’ll support you along the way. As you complete more tasks, you’ll unlock more opportunities and earn a stronger reputation.
Download the Collab APP, sign up, and complete the onboarding process, which includes ID verification and a short orientation. Once approved, you’ll be able to browse and claim tasks immediately.
You choose when and which tasks to take. Tasks are listed in the app with estimated time, pay, and deadlines—so you can take on work that fits your availability. There are no fixed shifts or required hours.
Pay varies by task, location, and urgency. Most CPs earn between $10 and $30 per task, with bonuses available for high-rated work or urgent requests. Some CPs use it to cover part of their rent; others use it for extra income on their schedule.
Once a task is completed and approved, your payment is sent automatically to your in-app wallet. You can cash out to your bank account or apply your earnings as rent credit. Payments are typically processed within 1–2 business days.
Being a CP is more like an independent gig than a traditional job. CPs are not employees of Collab Z—they’re independent task workers who are paid per completed task. You choose when and how often you participate.
The Collab APP includes built-in task support, instructions, and a chat feature to contact the operations team. We're here to help if something is unclear or if you run into issues on the job.
Yes. You can pause, stop, or restart your CP activity at any time. There are no long-term commitments. However, CPs who consistently complete tasks on time and maintain good ratings may receive access to higher-paying or more frequent opportunities.
Yes! If someone you know lives in a Collab-managed property or is interested in helping out, they can apply through the app. Referral programs may be available in select locations—check the app for updates.
No. Participating as a CP is entirely optional and separate from your lease. You’re not required to complete any tasks, and your rental status is not affected by whether you participate or not.
